Better Chance advises Morgan Advanced Materials

The Better Chance team advises Morgan Advanced Materials plc, a publicly held English company that manufactures thermal refractory ceramic materials, on the sale of its 51% holding in MTK-SL LLC to its business partner Sukholozhsky Refractory Plant JSC. As a result of the sale, SRP JSC became the sole owner of the company, which produces industrial insulation in high temperature environments in the city of Sukhoi Log.

SRP JSC is a key manufacturer of next-generation energy-saving refractory products in Russia. MTK-SK LLC, which is part of the SRP JSC Group, is a leading Russian producer of thermal insulation products using ceramic fibres. The company was founded in 2006 as a joint venture with Thermal Ceramics (a division of Morgan Advanced Materials plc), the world leader in the manufacture of ceramic fibre insulating products.

The Better Chance team selected to work on the transaction included Artem Tamaev, Partner of the Corporate Practice, and Associate Olesya Shlapak.
