Better Chance advises Arcelik A.Ş.

Better Chance advises Arcelik A.Ş., an international conglomerate headquartered in Istanbul that manufactures major home appliances, on its acquisition of a 100% shareholding (participation interest) in Indesit International JSC and Whirlpool Rus LLC from Whirlpool EMEA S.p.A.

This deal, under which Arcelik will receive production facilities in Lipetsk, was signed on 27 June 2022 and is expected to weigh in at around EUR 220 million. The deal will be closed once the parties meet a number of agreed upon conditions.

Arcelik A.Ş. controls the Koç Group, Turkey's largest financial and industrial conglomerate. Arcelik owns ten trademarks (the largest being Blomberg and Beko) and factories in Turkey, Romania, Russia, and China.

The Better Chance team selected to work on the transaction included Artem Tamaev, Partner of the Corporate Practice/ M&A Practice, Senior Associate Emil Shagiakhmetov, and Associate Olesya Shlapak.
